Implementing the Integrated Accessibility Standards Regulation – Policy Development and Multi Year Accessibility Plan 4 Hour Workshop
$295 per session (max 15 people)
This is a great first step to begin the journey of understanding the next standards. Under the Integrated Accessibility Standards Regulation, three specific accessibility standards have been developed: Employment, Information and Communications, Transportation and Design of Public Spaces. With various compliance deliverables and timelines for implementation it is important for staff to fully understand the requirements. This four hour interactive training workshop provides an in depth study of the standards so that you and your key management staff are comfortable and have a full understanding of what you as an organization has to do to implement them. This workshop will help you to develop your policies and to create a multi-year Accessibility Plan. Know what you need to do, how you are going to do it and when you are going to do it, so that you meet all timelines and deliverables.

Accessible Documents One Day Workshop
Ideal for those who create documents for the website or for the public.
All Day Workshop $345 per person (lunch included)
This all day workshop will ensure that your staff clearly understands what makes a document accessible. We begin with the basics of how to create accessible documents. We then look at the Clear Writing Principles and the Clear Print Guidelines. We apply your new knowledge and use hands-on training with laptops so that you create an accessible Word documents. You will also learn how to convert the Word document into a PDF (Portable Data Format) and make it accessible. Cyndie Sproul demonstrates using her JAWS software what it is like not to have sight and only hear the text. Providing examples of what is useful for a person using a screen reader such as JAWS and what barriers she would encounter with documents.

Integrated Accessibility Standards Regulation- Ideal for all Staff
90 Minute Workshop $1,295 per session (up to 50 people)
Businesses and organizations must ensure training is provided on the requirements of the Integrated Accessibility Standards Regulation and the Human Rights Code as it pertains to people with disabilities. Now that your employees are trained on the Accessible Customer Service Standard, you can continue with their training for the next three standards. This workshop will help staff to understand how the Information and Communications Standard will help organizations to effectively communicate and provide information to people with disabilities. They will also understand how the Employment Standard will help organizations to recruit, accommodate and retain people with disabilities in our labour force. They will understand how the Transportation Standard will make public transit more accessible for people with disabilities and lastly understand the requirements of Public Spaces. This workshop makes sure your employees are trained so that you as an organization are in compliance with the Integrated Accessibility Standards Regulation.

Management Overview of the Integrated Accessibility Standards Regulation 1 Hour Workshop
$650 per session (max. 25 people)
This workshop will help your management staff to strategically implement the Integrated Accessibility Standards Regulation. Senior Management will have a clear understanding of the many deliverables for the Accessibility Standards for Employment, Information and Communications, Transportation and Public Spaces. We will also look at the general requirements of the Integrated Accessibility Standards Regulation regarding policies, multi-year accessibility plan, training and emergency preparedness. Workshop will be geared and reflective of your particular sector’s deliverables and timelines which will be helpful in analyzing the overall impact of the standards.

Train the Trainer – Integrated Accessibility Standards Regulation
Ideal for previously trained Accessible Customer Service Trainers
6 Hour Workshop $595 per person
If you have previously taken a Train the Trainer session with us, you can continue with your training on the Integrated Accessibility Standards Regulation. We will begin by helping you to understand the Employment, Information & Communications, Transportation Standard, Public Spaces and the Human Rights Code, so that you can effectively provide training to your own staff. We will also demonstrate a complete run through of the 90 minute training session that you will be delivering to your own staff. As in previous Train the Trainers you will be given a copy of the 90 minute power point presentation, handouts, sample workbook pages, sample case studies, record keeping forms and tips; everything you need to train your own staff.

Employment Standard – Ideal for HR Staff
4 Hour Workshop $295 per person
This workshop helps HR staff to prepare for and implement the Employment Standard. Learn what you need to do to ensure that accessibility becomes part of your organization’s recruitment, selection and retention process so that we retain people with disabilities in our labour force. You will also learn effective communication processes for employing people with disabilities and gain a full understanding of the particular plans and processes you need to have in place. We will work through the process for developing and documenting individual accommodation plans, return to work process, performance management, career development and redeployment for employees with disabilities. We will also touch on the Workplace Emergency Response information.

Information and Communications Standard - Ideal for IT and Marketing Staff
4 Hour Workshop $295 per person
This workshop helps IT and Marketing Staff to ensure that people with disabilities have access to sources of information in an accessible manner. This can include websites, brochures and materials that you generally make available to the public. This course will look at your requirements to create, provide and receive information and communications in ways that are accessible and how you go about doing it. Looking closely at how accessible formats and communications supports need to be provided we will begin the process of how to design conversion ready documents, accessible feedback, and accessible workplace emergency plans. We will also look at accessible websites and website checkers for compliance.

Accessible Word Tables
Ideal for those who create tables
1 Hour Workshop $50 per person
This workshop will provide Staff with the necessary tools in knowing how to create accessible tables in Word. This course will take the basics of accessible documents learned in the Fundamentals of Accessible Documents and build on them going in depth in all aspects of an accessible table and saving it as a PDF (Portable Data Format) document. It is recommended to have taken the Fundamentals of Accessible Documents Workshop and Accessible Word Documents prior to attending this workshop; however, it is not mandatory.
Accessible Excel Spreadsheets
Ideal for those who create excel spreadsheets
2 Hour Workshop $95 per person
This workshop will provide Staff with the necessary tools in knowing how to create accessible Excel Spreadsheets and graphs. This course will take the basics of accessible documents learned in the Fundamentals of Accessible Documents and build on them going in depth in all aspects of Excel, and saving your document as PDF (Portable Data Format) document It is recommended to have taken the Fundamentals of Accessible Documents Workshop prior to attending this workshop; however, it is not mandatory.

Ideal for those who create PDF documents
1 Hour Workshop $95 per person
T his workshop will provide Staff with the necessary tools in knowing how to create accessible PDF (Portable Document Format). This course will take the basics of accessible documents learned in the Fundamentals of Accessible Documents and build on them going in depth in all aspects of a PDF (Portable Document Format) document It is recommended to have taken the Fundamentals of Accessible Documents Workshop prior to attending this workshop; however, it is not mandatory.
Accessible Customer Service Training - 3 Hour Workshop
$1495 per session (max 25 people)
This workshop meets compliance with the new Accessible customer Service Standards. It is ideal for front line staff and department heads. Your staff will have a greater sense and understanding of how to provide superior customer service to persons with disabilities. The workshop includes an overview of the legislation and its requirements, disability terms and definitions, and reporting and training requirements.
Various simulation and interactive learning experiences help your staff to identify and remove barriers in the workplace. This workshop will change the way your staff provide service to your community!

Management Overview Accessibility Standards for Customer Service - 1 Hour Workshop
$650 per session (max. 25 people)
This workshop will help your management staff to move forward in implementing the new Customer Service Standards. Staff will learn the legislated requirements under the AODA. They will also learn what their responsibilities are, how to comply and what next steps are needed.
The standards are easier to implement when staff clearly understand their roles and responsibilities. A great first step in moving your organization forward before the next four standards are implemented.

Accessible Customer Service Training - 1 Hour Workshop
$1,000 per session (max 40 people)
This workshop also meets compliance with the new Accessible Customer Service Standards and is for those staff with limited customer service interaction with persons with disabilities. It includes an overview of the legislation and its requirements, disability terms and definitions and reporting and training requirements. It does not include simulation or interactive exercises. Ideal for volunteers, contractors and staff with little or no customer service interaction.

Accessible Customer Service Training - 1 Hour E-Learning
$35 per person
Sometimes it's difficult to pull staff away from their jobs for any length of time. The e-learning workshop allows staff to train on line when convenient. E-learning is set up with modules which cover all the training requirements of the Accessible Customer Service Standards. If you require a customized training module of your organizations policies and procedures additional costs would be involved.
Implementing Customer Service & Creating Policies and Procedures - 1 Day Workshop

This course is ideal for staff responsible for implementing the Customer Service Standards of your organization. Decision makers will be educated on legislative background, requirements, and effective and accessible customer service training. This interactive workshop helps staff to work in unison to begin the process of writing your policies and procedures. You will also work on a plan for your organizational training and reporting needs. A great interactive training session that helps your organization to meet compliance and avoid penalties.

Train the Trainer Accessible Customer Service Training - 2 Day Workshop
$1,295 per person
How will you train new staff, volunteers and contractors? Why not train one of your own staff. An extensive 2 day "Train The Trainer" workshop will help you learn the customer service legislation, disability types, effective customer service and compliance requirements around policies, procedures and training. You will be taught the principles of adult learning theories and practice delivery to effectively train any new staff on Accessible Customer Service Standards.
